In May, the global Epcon team embarked on a trip to the Opal Coast, nestled between Calais and Boulogne. This picturesque coastal region provided the perfect backdrop for a highly stimulating week away from the office.
The off-site was packed with engaging workshops and valuable technical sessions, including the development of a technological roadmap and in-depth discussions on infrastructure and scalability. It also provided an opportunity to reflect on our AI-led work in infectious disease control, showcasing our achievements in Nigeria and Pakistan.
Of course, it wasn’t all work. Time was made for a delightful excursion to Europe’s largest aquarium, Nausicaá Centre National de la Mer. Additionally, there was also an opportunity for some wonderful hiking around breathtaking Cap Blanc-Nez.
However, what truly distinguished this workshop was the remarkable spirit of belonging among the team. Every evening, a different team member, with the assistance of everyone else, took the lead in preparing a national dish, symbolising the multicultural essence of our company.
“I was genuinely impressed by the commitment and dedication demonstrated by every team member. It was not only the high-quality presentations and active involvement in every aspect of the workshop, but also the fact that we are such a diverse and multicultural team. Everyone has an important part to play in helping us achieve our goal of strengthening health delivery through artificial intelligence.”
